Lower Bucks Country Laundry Room Remodel
For this job in Bucks we completely tore down an old laundry room and remodeled it to a brand new modern look with a quartz countertop, marble backsplash, undermounted sink and cabinets.
We first had to temporarily add plumbing into the garage for usage of the washer and dryer while construction was going on.
After that we demo’ed the room and starting designing the plumbing and the measurements for the entire countertop area. We took the entire width of the opening and measured the new washer and dryer off of those measurements to get a max width for a sink cabinet with the added framing to carry the weight of the new countertop.
We framed two end walls to carry the weight of the countertop about an inch above the height of new washer and dryer. We then ran new electrical for under the cabinet lighting and switch on the right side wall as well as for the new recessed lighting and a 3-way switch for those lights.
After the framing we drywalled the room and painted once it was all finished. We installed two ledges on the exterior wall, a new window and a black exterior door.
We installed the lvp flooring and then the two wall cabinets and the sink base as well as the ceiling high pantry. We wrapped crown molding along the ceiling and the cabinets painted the same color as the cabinets.
After we got the quartz countertop, and the sink, installed, we installed the marble backsplash and the two countertop outlets, and of course the faucet.
