Warminster Den Total Gut And Remodel
In Warminster we were hired to complete remodel a sixty year old den which was covered in old panelling and carpet.
Here’s a general list of what we did:
- Demo’ed part of the fireplace to resize it to make more room on the left side of the room
- Tile’d the newly sized fireplace with stone while then replacing the wood top ledge and bottom slate ledge with matching pieces of custom cut granite
- Ran new electric throughout the room including adding outlets and a new switch for the pantry where the old bookshelf was
- Wired up for (4) six inch recessed lights in the main room, (3) on one switch and a separate switch for the light above the tv.
- Wired up (2) recessed 4 inch lights in the area heading towards the laundry area
- Wired up (3) 4 inch lights above the stairs to the pantry on it’s own switch as well
- Ran and installed (4) ceiling speakers through the ceiling joists into the back of where the tv was installed above the fireplace
- Framed the area above the fireplace for the TV mount, cable box and speaker receiver
- Completely ripped out the old bookshelf to the right of the tv and framed out a pantry with a light and multiple shelves
- Framed out 14 recessed shelves throughout the room between the studs and then drywalled the entire room
- Ran chair rail and shadow boxes throughout the majority of the room
- Replaced all the stair treads
- Ran 4 5/8″ colonial crown molding throughout all areas of the room
- Installed a ledge on the back wall
- Ran a stair runner on the steps down from the above floor
- Installed poplar posts and railing with horizontal iron balusters
- Installed 3 new doors, one for the pantry, a 5 panel glass door; a new 5 panel bathroom door; and a 5 panel slab for a newly framed pocket door going in the next room
- Ran LVP flooring throughout the room then installing 5 1/4″ baseboard
